What´s "RED" ? Initially, the name RED was chosen as an acronym for Robust Emergency Datalink. But of course, it can also be read as "Reliable Earthquake Detector" or "Reporting Extraordinary Disasters." We liked the name because of its obvious association with red alert as well as its descriptive precision.
